Something new on my hook

We are well into wintertime here, as we should be. There for a short while during Christmas holidays, I noticed that my pot of spring flowers Hyacinths were beginning to pop through the soil, that shouldn't happen for at least 2-3 more months. So now it looks more like the season of winter, and if the weatherman is correct we are going to a large dose of winter in the next few days, snowmagedden is heading our way....don't buy it.  At any rate it is lovely crochet weather, when isn't it?

I had originally wanted to begin this project before I started the vest I posted about earlier.
Summer Crochet Vest
I ran into the yarn tangle that wouldn't yield, and put it on the back burner. I'm making this one for my sister, and you can see the pattern here at J's.  I am making this in a Caron Simply Soft Lavender Blue color,

Caron Simply Soft Yarn, Solid in Lavender Blue | 3 Pack | 6 oz | Michaels

J's knit and purl jam cross my heart lace wrap EP#27

I have made about 3 of these so far, one for myself,  one for prayer shawl group, and one for a sweet 16 birthday party my son attended for a classmate. The poor dear didn't know what it was or how to wear it, go figure. Maybe I should have wrapped up a pair of weights, basketball or a soccer ball.
So sad. Somewhere in between where the young "ladies" are, and where they are headed might be a better place for them to land.   Commentary over.

My sister lives in a warm tropical climate, she doesn't need the wrap most of the time to be sure, but when she has Dr. appointments the facilities are very cold, this should take the chill off at least while she is inside.

I have for all intents and purposes completed the vest, it needs to be steamed to release the fabric and smooth it out.

So that is what's on my hook, and I'm stickin to it.

till the next time,
thank you if took the time to visit here.

I'm hunkering down and batting down the hatches for the snowstorm that isn't?
Or is it....
story still out on this till next time...
either way I'm crocheting
